Giuseppe Ostuni for O-Luce adjustable floor lamp, Italy 1952
Rare adjustable floor lamp mod. 339-2 PX by Giuseppe Ostuni for O-Luce, Italy 1952. Unusual model with duo colored perspex shades; one in opal white and one in warm grey. Very intelligent design with inventive technical details such as the adjustable stem and ball joint at the bottom which makes it possible to swing the lower lamp into different positions. Each shade holds one E27 light fitting, the Perspex shades provide both an atmospheric and functional light. Each shade can be switch on - off separately with the original double pressed floor switch. The original electrical system is checked and kept fully original. Furthermore we softly cleaned all parts but kept the lamp in it's original condition and conserved the original patina on the brass parts. Literature: O-Luce di Giuseppe Ostuni part II by Thomas Brauninger, page 301. The lamp is in an excellent original condition.
