‘Lavinia’ table lamp by Masayuki Kurokawa for Artemide
Sculptural 'Lavinia' table lamp by Masayuki Kurokawa for Artemide, Italy 1988. Wonderful sophisticated light sculpture made of thick aluminum finished with a white structure lacquer. Interesting contrast and combination of forms; technical graphic shapes versus the beautiful organic shaped lampshade which reminds of a floating stingray. The shade can be placed in different positions due to the ball joint construction. The lamp takes one Halogen light bulb and is provided with a dimmer switch; up is full and down is dimmed, middle is off. It provides a beautiful warm indirect light. In excellent original condition.
